Open up a tab to the site’s homepage. Go through the homepage and make sure all of the following link (including any buttons, links, images that are not listed in the below list)

  • Header
  • Social Media Icons
  • Menu Items
  • Rotator (if applicable)
  • Quicklinks
  • Calendar events and “View Full Calendar” button
  • Parish Headlines and their “Read More” buttons 
  • Bulletins and the “Bulletin Archive Button”
  • Ministry Schedules and “Archive Button”
  • Footer (make sure the address links to Contact us page, Telephone [tel] e-mail, padlock, and solutio link. -- internal links should be relative (after the .com or .org), not the whole domain. If linking to the homepage, either user /home, or use the primary domain name, do not use the working site URL
  • External links (make sure they open in new window)
  1. From the Control Panel, click the ‘Components’ menu item. Scroll down and click the submenu ‘Gantry 5 Themes’ 
  2. Once you are on the Themes page, select the configure button (this will normally be the Gemini  or Clarity Theme). 
  3. Click the menu button in the upper right corner of the page.
  4. Once there click the gear icon on the menu item you want to change width pixels.
  5. Select the Dropdown Width Box and change from ‘auto’ to the needed width (Max is 350px). Once updated, hit the blue ‘Apply and Save’ button.
  6. Go back to the Control Panel.
  1. Click the ‘Menu’ and then select ‘Main Menu’
  2. Open up the ‘Home’ menu item. (if not in the main menu, it could be in hidden menus).
  3. Once open, click the ‘page display” tab and make sure the “Browser Page Title” is the Parish/Church’s name with city and state (e.g. St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Midwest City, OK). Hit the green ‘Save’ button and return to the Control Panel
  1. From the Control Panel, click the ‘Components’ menu item. Scroll down and click the submenu ‘Gantry 5 Themes’ 
  2. On the Themes page, select the configure button (this will normally be the ClarityTheme). 
  3. Click the ‘Page Settings’ tab and make sure the Favicon box is not empty. If empty, copy and paste this file path into the box: gantry-media://stories/template/favicon.png. Click the blue ‘Save Page Setting” button and return to the Control Panel.  -- Check the browser tab (hard refresh). This should not be a blue cross. Check dropbox for file if missing. 
  1. Somewhere on the homepage, main menu, or quicklinks . 

 

  1. If header is simple, you can add hero images (size is 1600x444px).
  2. Use your best judgment when adding pictures. Not every page needs a picture, but make sure the picture goes with the topic (e.g. don’t use a first communion picture in marriage article).
  1. Make sure the menu is displayed on pages on main outline pages, usually not staff or grid layouts, calendar or sponsor pages. 
  2. Make sure the correct menu is being displayed. 
  3. The Buy Now page should have the hidden menu (level 2 only) 
  1.  From the Control Panel click Module Manager button or click the "Extension" menu item and select the submenu "Modules"
  2. Search for documents. open the modules and make sure the setting is set to open in new window
  1. Click the ‘Menu’ and select ‘Main Menu’. Open all Docman menu items (e.g. bulletin, ministry schedules). 
  2. Make sure the Target Window says “New window with Navigation” . Click the ‘Save and Close’ button. 
  1. Make sure all external URL in articles and in modules open in a new window
  2. Make sure all external URL Menu Items open in a "New Window With Navigation"
  1. Make sure all e-mails links open in a new window (e.g. staff contact info) 
  1. Make sure all phone numbers are linked links open in a new window
  1.  If there is no transition for links, footer, or buttons, let Tori or Joel know. The transition effect will differ parish to parish. 

  1. From the Control Panel, click on Icon Panel Manager button
  2. Open up Canva Rotator Image - 1600X669 (numbers will change)
  3. Make sure the title displays correct size
  4. Make sure the URL has the correct rotator size
  5. If the size is not correct, change the numbers in the URL: https://www.canva.com/design?create&width=1600&height=669&units=px
  1. If they are not linked correctly, you will change the URL in Icon Panel Manager
  2. Website traffic should be a solutiocloud.us URL i.e.: https://www.solutiocloud.us/site-stats/aAITtKWSUu
    1. if it is a google data studio URL, it is not correct
  1.  Click the Google Analytics button on the Control Panel
  2. Once logged into Google Analytics, make sure that you are looking at the correct site code. 

  3. Click the RealTime tab on the left side of the screen.  -- Have the website open at it' domain name, not the solutio working address to check this
  4. Click Overview and make sure at least there is one active user on the site (if you are on the site, make sure you click through a couple of pages before checking this).  
  1. From the control Panel, click ‘Site Config’ button
  2. Once there Make sure the Site Name displays the churches title.
  3. Make sure the timezone is correct (check the footer if you are unsure where they are located)
  4. Add their email if needed.
  1. Should have columns I and J marked blue with a yes.
  1.  logo looks nice
  • Doesn’t have template image
  • Wording is correct
  • Homepage link works
  • Logo matches site
  • Colors aren’t to funky. 
  • -- header and footer is inherited from the base or primary outline

  1. Shrink window to as narrow as possible and check the following:
  • Boxes stack
  • Tables aren’t out of order
  • Ads on homepage  are squished at the bottom or dispersed in two spots
  • Quicklinks stack
  • Rotator isn’t squished
  • font sizes are legible
  1. Once you click the extension, this will open up a side panel that says Accessibility Checker. Check to make sure there are no pictures missing Alt text.
  1. If the folder is not created, create a new folder under rotator that is titled provided.
  2. Once the folder is created, open your file explorer and open Photo Library under Dropbox-->Photo Library--> choose respective size . Select the correct size and upload to the folder. (If you are unsure of the rotator size, go to sbs, select the site you are working on, and click the artwork tab. The sizing will be in the artwork notes).

  1. If the folder is not created, create four new folders under the "libarary" folder in image manager ()  
  2. Once the folders are created, open your file explorer and open Photo Library under Dropbox-->Photo Library--> choose respective size . Select the correct orientation and upload all pictures to their correct folder. (If you are unsure of the image orientation look on the homepage or ask Sarah).
